Medical studies in Australia: OVEC extends congratulations to future medical doctors.
OVEC would like to congratulate future MD's: Krishta Appadoo, Jean Paul Chung Pin Yong, Aveena Dhanjee and Christophe Ng Kwet Pin.
Last year, these 4 students were sent by OVEC placement services at the University of Newcastle in Australia for foundation studies. This year, we are so pleased to announce that these students have all been awarded seats for medical studies.
Medical studies in Australia are extremely competitive and only a handful of seats are given to international students. OVEC is very happy that thanks to the agreement that it has secured with the University of Newcastle, it can now offer Mauritian students a route to studying medicine at an Australian university.
The University of Newcastle is a prestigious institution that has more than 6500 international students on its various campuses and programmes. It is located about 2 hours' drive north of Sydney. The costs of tuition and living are relatively more affordable.
In 2009,OVEC has thus been able to offer Mauritian students the possibility to do world-class medical studies at the University of Newcastle in Australia and Nanjing Medical University in China.
